South Island 04/09 Queenstown
Queenstown (population 8500), the adrenaline capital of New Zealand , the birthplace of bungy jumping is our next stop. It is in the lower middle part of the South Island and is framed by the 'Remarkables' and 'Eyre' mountain range and sits on Lake Wakatipu. We are here for 3 nights staying at 28 Hallenstein Street.
Not sure who this is but it must be from NZ because he is beside his sheep!
Everyone in the family picks something they want to do. James picks a trip on the stately steam powered TSS Earnshlaw, a century old boat that used to be the ONLY way to get up the river. Here is the coal being loaded for our trip.
