South Island 04/09 Waipara Valley

After a brief soak and picnic in Hanmar springs we drive South back to the East Coast around one hour to Old Glenmark Vicarage in Waipara Valley. The church's vicar had a lovely house and the house had a lovely barn pictured below.

James enjoying breakfast amidst the vines on the verandah. The loft of the barn where we all slept.
Hannah spent a lot of time with the tame sheep on the property.

Mountains in the background of the autumn coloured vines.

The church steeple can be seen the background.

The fridge was well stocked with their harvest - I loved the names...the Wicked Vicar, the Divine Daughter and the Vicar's Mistress,

The barn was decorated with a collection of fascinating objects from all over the world and a GREAT music room with CD's and records James and I grew up with. Here is me as 'meeshe', Hannah as my husband and Rebecca as the barkeep.
Hannah was in heaven making up games and stories for all the paraphenalia around....
