Gingerbread xmas 2008

A gingerbread Kiwi...
Wow what loaded cookies.
Made by Rebecca and Connie...and Hannah and Maddie.
Making gingerbread in the summer means softer cookies and saggy gingerbread house walls...still tasted good though.

Makara Tramp Christmas Day

Christmas picnic in the fancy tupperware basket. Instead of carving the Roast Beast we sacrificed a Watermelon.

This is part of the old concrete gun defences. There were two guns manned between 1941 and 1943 defending the Cook Straight. Each could fire 15 km and were never used.

Christmas Down Under

Thanks to Cheryl, Chris, Kate, Jenny and Patrick for the prezzies!

Here is our edition of the homefront from the Dainards, Backus' and Blakeney's.
So..an elephant walks into a bar and orders a beer. The barman says 'that will be 300 Baht. We don't see many elephants around here. The elephant says 'at 300 Baht a pint, I'm not surprised'. This little gem of a publication kept us laughing and feeling loved.
